So named because of the way it was found.
Ron was mining on the 8 metre level in 1991 and did not see the beautiful Crystal Opal he was digging through with the Jack Hammer.
After the waste dirt had been extracted from the mine to the tip truck, he noticed very bright opal fragments on the floor of the mine.
After many hours specking through the dirt, several ounces of extreme grade Red Crystal Rough Opal were discovered.
This was the first Opal that Ron cut from that parcel.
This beautiful stone displays all colours but has a very strong Red display.
This stone was very hard to photograph and the true colour of this magnificent gem is not displayed in the photos.
The Setting in keeping with the “Lucky” Theme has a Horse Shoe and Four Leaf Clover.
The body of the setting is White Gold, the Bail and Bezel setting for the Stone are 18K.
