VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY Bundanon | Volunteer Program The South Coast's own national art institution, Bundanon, is looking for volunteers to help with a range of activities carried out on the 1,100 hectare estate. Nestled on the banks of the Shoalhaven River, Bundanon encompasses the historic Bundanon Homestead and Arthur Boyd's former studio, the Arthur and Yvonne Boyd Education Centre, a collection of over 3,000 art works, a herd of Brangus cattle, a busy program of artists-in-residence and an exciting schedule of events. Volunteers are sought to help with cataloguing (training provided), guiding tours, working with the cattle, gardening and landcare. Volunteers of all ages and ability are welcome. REGIONAL ARTS FUND 
Grants supporting arts and cultural activities in regional NSW that are sustainable, have long term cultural, economic and social benefits, develop partnerships and cultural networks and provide skills development opportunities. There is one round per year with closing date of 14 August for projects commencing in the following calendar year. Multiple year funding and grants of more than $20,000 per year are available but must be discussed with Regional Arts NSW prior to applying Applications for 2009 Intending applicants should download and read both the Instructions and the Guidelines before proceeding to download the relevant Application Form. Applications for the Regional Arts Fund can not be submitted online. Applicants must download an Application Form and either print it out and fill it in by hand (Word or PDF forms), or fill it in on your computer (Word or, ideally, Excel format) and print it out once completed. Please note that the Excel Application Form is the ideal format because it has been set up to assist with the budget section of the Application and will automaticaly perform calculations and transfer figures. To use the Excel form, however, you will need to have the Excel 2000 program, or better. In either case, you must print out your Application Form and send it to Regional Arts NSW together with all other required documents. Applications close Thursday 14 August 2008 and must be postmarked on or before this date. Late applications will not be accepted. All applicants will be notified in writing of the outcome of their submission. Raw Dance Company's Jack Chambers was also the winner of Australia's So You Think You Can Dance, giving you a look at the extremely talented dancers apart of Raw, showcasing the diversity of their talents and skills worldwide. Cowra Japanese Garden exhibition register The Cowra Japanese Garden supports local and regional artists with regular exhibitions in both the Garden and Cultural Centre. Planning is now underway for the Garden’s 2008 exhibition roster and local and regional artists interested in showcasing their works invited to contact the Garden to discuss exhibition formats and available dates. The Garden offers an ideal venue for exhibitors to display artworks in the relaxed atmosphere of a premier tourist attraction with a potential audience from around Australia and the world of 50,000 visitors per annum. Perhaps you think you don’t have enough artworks to fill a full exhibition? If that is the case the Garden may be able to put you in touch with other artists in a similar situation with a view to staging a joint exhibition along a common theme. A Month In The Country: performing arts residencies Likened to the famous Sundance Institute established in the USA by Robert Redford, this national residency program established by HotHouse Theatre brings artists from across Australia to Albury Wodonga for between one and five weeks during the creative development phase of new theatre projects. Now in its third year, A Month In The Country has assisted many Australian theatre artists to bring their work to fruition. A Month in the Country is a service to the national theatre industry, allowing groups of artists to experience the intensity of a regional working experience. Applications for residencies are accepted twice each year. This program is delivered with the support of Albury City, Arts NSW, Arts Victoria, the Australia Council, Perpetual and The Myer Foundation. Laughing Wates Artist-in-Residence Program 2009

Art Unlimited
A competition embracing hanging art, photography and ceramics is taking place in the 800-strong township of Dunedoo in the Central West of New South Wales. There are no limits to the interpretation of the theme 'My Landscape.' It is entirely up to artists, photographers or ceramicists to express themselves in the medium they choose. The artist’s landscape is not restricted to an urban, rural, indoor or outdoor landscape. It may be interpreted, in the widest sense, as the artist’s view of contemporary Australian life or the environment in which the artist exists. An eminent panel of judges has been assembled and a first place prize of $2,000 will be awarded in each of the three categories. There will also be a People’s Choice Award. Entry forms online. Flickerfest
Flickerfest is Australia’s only ®Academy Award accredited Short Film festival, and its largest short film competition. We are delighted to announce that we are now accepting entries from Australia and around the world. Flickerfest will screen for 10 days at Bondi Beach in January 2009 before heading off on a national tour. The Festival consists of three competitive programs - International, Australian and Documentary as well as a number of special programs and forums out of competition.
